Shoesmith's Garden Team!
Upcoming Garden Events!
Saturday Garden Work Day! October 10th, 10am-1pm
Join us and U of C Law Students to harvest (coriander seeds, basil, mustard greens), trim, weed, and mulch. We will provide everything you need and have treats to keep your energy up. Here is what we will do in TEAMS:

1. Prepare and mulch the north path (south path is done) in the Butterfly garden.
2. Harvest and prepare the Kindergarten beds for winter.
3. Prepare the 4 raised beds for winter.
4. Prepare the bulb garden for more bulbs.
5. Clean up the Sims garden and greenhouse and paint the benches.

It will be a beautiful fall day. Hope you can join us. Please let me know by Friday night so that I can make sure I have enough food.

We are looking for students, parents, community members, and friends of Shoesmith to help keep our school beautiful and alive with botanical learning! Students use the gardens at Shoesmith as an outdoor classroom to explore plant life, insects, gathering data through mathematical measurements, and so much more!
