I know we are going to have a fun and exciting year together. Here are some of the things you have to look forward to in 1st grade…
1. Read for 30 minutes EVERY day 2. Practice sight words 3. Practice your addition and subtraction facts 3 times a week 4. Write a letter telling me interesting facts about yourself I hope everyone has a safe and fun summer. I can’t wait for us to start our wonderful year together! Sincerely, Ms. Sanipass |

Sight Words Resources
Each document has flashcards to cut out.
I provided the first and second 100 sight words list below. Students should know the first two hundred sight words coming into first grade. These are words that students know by sight. Sight words account for up to 75% of the words used in the books we read. They are very important and help students become fluent readers. I attached multiple resources for you to use.
