Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to 3rd Grade!  We are excited to start a new school year with a classroom of eager students.  In our classrooms, your child will become a voracious reader, critical thinker, and an independent learner.
For this summer, we are asking students to complete some activities to prepare for third grade.  First, we are asking students to work on the Step Up to Third Grade math packet.  This packet will give students an opportunity to practice many skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and much more.  Second, we are asking students to read a chapter book of their choosing. Books can be found in bookstores, online, Amazon, etc.  Students should complete the accompanying activities including a summary and book review.
We hope you find this summer relaxing and enjoyable.  Thank you in advance for helping your child complete their summer assignments.  They are due on the first day of school! Mrs. English and Mrs. Walker will collect the summer assignments on the first day of school.  See you then!!
