Hello future second grade superstars! My name is Ms. McCree. I will be your second grade teacher for the school year 2022-2023. This is my seventh year teaching at Shoesmith. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I also just recently graduated from National Louis with my Masters in Curriculum & Instruction with an endorsement in LBS1 and ESL. Growing up, I attended Chicago Public Schools. It has always been my dream to teach in Chicago Public Schools. This is my way of giving back to my community and helping students reach their fullest potential. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, spending time with my family, and shopping. I am a big sneaker head, so I enjoy buying the coolest sneakers. I also have a 6 year old son who keeps me pretty busy.
My goals this year are for students to be successful and enjoy learning. Congratulations on completing your first grade year! Yay! I am so proud of all your hard work. I know we are going to have a fun and exciting year together. Here are some of the things you can look forward to in second grade:

Sincerely,
Ms. McCree
